Five days of minimal Internet
What? No active Internet connection, no smartphone. Single-purpose devices like music players are permitted. Laptop is permitted for offline writing.
When? Five days, from December 25, 12:00 AM to December 30, 12:00 AM.
Who? Me.
Where? My bedroom. At a time between Christmas and New Year's Eve when it's OK to be a hermit.
Why? To (re)calibrate my relationship with technology before 2026.
How? Presumably with discipline. This is an exercise, after all.
Allowance: 150 minutes (to be timed) permitted on my laptop, since I know there's an email I mean to write, a manuscript to submit, and planning to confirm for New Year's Eve.
Vision/prompt: imagine just using the Internet for no more than 30 minutes a day. I've a few books at the ready.
